Hastings Labour Law Office is a law firm practicing on behalf of unions, primarily in the areas of labour law, human rights and constitutional law, and judicial review. Our restricted practice has led us to develop extensive experience in providing legal representation and policy advice to a broad range of unions in both the public and private sectors throughout British Columbia, including unions in federal jurisdiction. We have represented unions at all levels of the British Columbia and federal courts as well as before a wide range of administrative tribunals. The Crisis in Union Organizing under the BC Liberals: There is a crisis in union organizing under the present Liberal government in British Columbia. This may sound like a bit of an overstatement to some, but unfortunately the numbers demonstrate that it is indeed the case.
