Brett has practiced labour law on behalf of trade unions since being called to the bar in 2007.  Prior to joining Hastings Labour Law Office, Brett articled at a union-side labour firm, and worked at UBC's First Nations Legal Clinic, primarily on behalf of residents of Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.

Brett presently represents both public and private sector unions in litigation before the BC Labour Relations Board, the Canada Industrial Relations Board and labour arbitration boards.  Brett also provides general advice to unions, and represents unions and their members in workers compensation and workplace health and safety matters.
