John has been a partner in our firm since 2003. He has appeared on behalf of trade unions before the federal and provincial courts and before many different administrative bodies including labour boards, privacy commissioners, and human rights tribunals. His particular areas of interest include the construction and mining industries and energy utilities.
John also regularly represents unions who are assisting their members at arbitration. He provides counsel on issues such as unjust termination, accommodation for disability, pay rate and job posting disputes, and unfair discipline. In addition he works with unions to fight for more progressive employer policies such as those dealing with drug testing, employee surveillance and attendance management.
