Sephra articled and practiced at a boutique litigation firm in Ottawa, ON before returning home to Vancouver, BC in early 2018. She practiced at a boutique family law firm in downtown Vancouver prior to joining Hastings Labour Law Office LLP. Sephra is committed to advancing the interests of unions and their members as an associate with the firm.
Sephra has advocated for social justice in diverse contexts through her work with human rights and non-profit organizations in Zambia, Thailand, Montreal, Ottawa and Vancouver. While in law school, she was Director of the Internship Program for Canadian Lawyers Abroad (now “Level”), Research Network Coordinator for the University of Ottawa Refugee Assistance Project, and Junior Editor for the Canadian Journal of Women and the Law. She interned at ECPAT International, in Bangkok, Thailand, where she contributed to the organization’s work against child trafficking and exploitation, and West Coast LEAF, an organization which promotes and protects the rights of women.
